THE COMBINE BUS

Like all community organisations this service cannot exist without volunteers and in particular more drivers are required. If you are between 25 & 70 and have some spare time on your hands then contact Alan Coggins 01380 840302 and become a volunteer driver.

Devizes supermarket run every Friday, departs Wiltshire Yeoman at 10.00am departs Devizes at 12.00pm. The service also runs to Salisbury on different days. If you have a bus pass, then the services are free.

All the services are dial a ride and we will pick up in the villages of Alton Barnes, Beechingstoke, Connock, Chirton, Hilcott, Honeystreet, Patney, Marden, Woodborough, Bottlesford and Manningford Bruce.

The Combine Bus is also available for self drive hire to local non profit making groups, organisations and individuals who are members of The Combine Bus.

WHEELCHAIR VEHICLE M P V

TRANSPORT FOR THE HOUSEBOUND

Community First is helping housebound people to get out and about by loaning them a wheelchair accessible vehicle at charitable rates.

The charity is running the multi-purpose vehicle (M.P.V.) on behalf of Wiltshire County Council, and the vehicle has already helped a number of people who would otherwise be stuck at home.

The M.P.V. can be driven using an ordinary car licence and it can carry up to four passengers plus one wheelchair which can be wheeled straight into the vehicle.

It is available to hire at £20 per day plus 10p per mile.

DEVIZES PHAB COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SCHEME

Devizes PHAB Community Transport Scheme provides transport throughout Devizes and district for people with disabilities or mobility problems. Regular shopping services are run to Devizes, Pewsey, Salisbury, Swindon and Trowbridge. The minibuses are fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Transport to areas outside of Wiltshire is also available at the request of groups or individuals.

COMMUNITY TRANSPORT GROUP

East Kennet & District Community Transport Group provides transport for people with disabilities, older people, and community groups in East Kennet covering Avebury, Devizes, Chilton Foliat, Chiseldon, East Kennet, Ludgershall, Marlborough, Pewsey, Tidworth, UPavon and Winterbourne Bassett (mainly SN8 and SN9 postcode areas plus up to SN4 and SN10).

The minibus is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Ramsbury Community Bus provides scheduled services from Ramsbury to Hungerford for the general public. Group transport is also available for community groups. The minibus is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Available for those in Aldbourne, Axford, Baydon, Chilton Foliat, Froxfield, Mildenhall and Ramsbury areas.

SWINDON DIAL A RIDE

Swindon Dial A Ride provides Dial A Ride and group transport services and is a door to door bus service for people with mobility difficulties and for those who are socially excluded in rural areas including Broad Hinton.

Dial A Ride car journeys can be arranged for anywhere in the UK. The minibuses are available for use by any community or voluntary group in the local area. All minibuses and cars are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
