AMESBURY
TO SOLSTICE PARK SHUTTLE
AND
COMMUNITY BUS
A shuttle
bus service between Amesbury town centre and Solstice Park - the
‘Solstice Shuttle’ run by local Community Transport
Group COMTRANS South Wiltshire provides a free, dedicated and
efficient service for workers at Solstice Park during the morning
and evening commute.
The shuttle
runs in conjunction with Wilts and Dorset and Stagecoach services
with arrivals and departures from Amesbury Bus Station (Stand
E) with the kind permission of Wilts and Dorset.

Amesbury Youth & Community
Service provides a transport service for youth & community groups.
The minibus can be used by any group as long as they are on the
Wiltshire Council approved minibus driver data base.

Community Transport South Wiltshire
covers the whole area of South Wiltshire and parts of West Wiltshire
providing the following services:-
Rural Door-to-Door Weekly/Fortnightly Shopping Service
using fully accessible minibuses.
This gives people who are socially isolated and/or may have a mobility
problem, the chance to shop in Salisbury for a 2 - 2½ hour
stay before return. Friendly drivers are available to help you with
your shopping direct to your door if you so wish.
The minibus will pick you up from your door before dropping you
off and picking you up again from "The Canal" in Salisbury
city centre, "Shopmobility" in The Maltings just off Fisherton
Street and at the Tescos Extra Superstore on Southampton Road.
Runs Trips and Days Out for individuals
and local community groups. Minibuses will pick you up and return
you to your home.
Provides a Minibus Provision Service to
local affiliated groups and organisations who do not own a minibus
themselves but wish to use their own drivers. Organisations own
drivers are required to have official minibus driver training (MIDAS
or hold a PCV). Training can be arranged through Community Transport
South Wiltshire.
Operates a large Community Care Scheme covering South
Wiltshire providing voluntary car drivers to take the
elderly and people with a mobility problem to and from homes to
facilities, be it either for social, medical, educational or leisure
reasons.
